Andy
Warhol was back Saturday night for another 15-plus minutes
of fame at “Things That POP,” a party for the
Corcoran Gallery’s 1869 Society. More than 700 young
Warholistas thronged the event, a tribute to the late artist
that also marked the end of the Corcoran’s “Andy
Warhol: Social Observer” exhibit. “We support
all things Andy,” said guest Jessica Strelitz. Of course
there were Campbell’s soup can centerpieces and eve
a white-wigged Warhol impersonator (JIM
NIEB) who captured the spirit of the quirky
artist-and flirted with Vanessa Kauffman and Jenni Collins,
below from left. “He’s nuts!” said and amused
Meredith Margolis. Nuts plus fame equals “eccentric.”
